Beasley's Orchard picks all apples by hand to ensure the freshest and best quality apples for your table! Below are the varieties currently grown at Beasley's with description and suggested uses. Enjoy!

Apple Roll Call
  • Blushing Golden:
  • rich, spicy and snappy with smooth skin
  • Braeburn:
  • rich and complex with a unique combination of sweet and tart in flavor. stores well when chilled.
  • Cameo:
  • best eaten out of hand. snappy, juicy apple with tender thin skin. holds shape well when cooked.
  • Cortland:
  • sweetly tart, resists browning, great for salads
  • Empire:
  • cross between McIntosh and Red Delicious, excellent
  • Fuji:
  • sweet, juicy and very crisp, quickly becoming a favorite. stores for months when chilled.
  • Gala:
  • sweet, spicy, great for eating and baking
  • Ginger Gold:
  • mild flavor with a tart finish, for eating or baking, resists browning
  • Goldrush:
  • delicious sweet-tart taste with a rich, spicy flavor. stores for months when chilled. great for pies and crisps.
  • Golden Delicious:
  • crisp, mild and sweet, best all-purpose apple
  • Honeycrisp:
  • exceptionally crisp and juicy, sweet yet slightly tart, excellent storage life, great for eating, salads, baking, cooking
  • Ida Red:
  • sweetly tart and spicy, great to bake whole
  • Jonagold:
  • cross between a Golden Delicious and Jonathan; large in size, crispy and juicy with a sweet and sour taste
  • Jonalicious:
  • very crisp, sweet / tart, juicy, good for salads and pies
  • Jonathan:
  • firm, crisp and tart, excellent all-purpose apple
  • Lodi:
  • very crisp and tart, excellent for apple sauce, pies and baking
  • McIntosh:
  • aromatic & juicy, wonderful for sauce and pies
  • Melrose:
  • flavorful all-purpose, firm, crisp and sweet
  • Mutsu:
  • large, yellow/green skin, mellow spiciness, very crisp
  • Paula Red:
  • sprighly taste, not too sweet and mostly tart. suitable for eating and cooking, but become soft when cooked (better for applesauce than pies).
  • Red Delicious:
  • sweet and mild flavored, good for fresh eating
  • Stayman Winesap:
  • crisply tart with juicy, winey flavor
